Sammy

Sarasota County Sheriff’s Department brought us two horses and a Mini on September 18, 2018. Sammy was one of those horses and boy did we have our work cut out for us when he arrived. Sammy had, clearly, suffered horrific neglect at the hands of his heartless owners, he was in very critical condition. Many sleepless nights and many emergency vet calls are how we lived from September 18th until well into December of that year. We never knew if we were going to lose our boy or if he was going to pull through, one more time.  But with lots of extra care from vets, chiropractors, fireman, and friends, Sammy is happily still with us at SWFHR, where he is a volunteer favorite and loved by all who meet him.
