Kahlua

Little Kahlua bear is a very special little Mini horse, she would most likely have been euthanized had she not made her way to South West Florida Horse Rescue, Inc. When the Sheriff’s dept. contacted us regarding Sammy and Magic, we agreed to take them both so arrangements were made for the deputies to trailer them to us. The day they were to arrive, they called to say they had just gotten in a Mini and they asked if we could possibly take her as well. Of course, we said yes so on September 18, 2018 we welcomed Sammy, Magic and Kahlua.

Kahlua had been so horribly neglected that her hooves were not only elfed, they were starting to grow into her legs. We had no idea what the xrays would show us but we all prayed for good news when Doc was scheduled to come out the following day for intake exams on our new kids. To our delight, our precious Kahlua could be saved and with corrective trimming and a special diet, she would be able to live the life of a special needs Mini with caution taken regarding her living conditions.
