If you want to make a donation, cash, money order, or check are still the easiest and most straightforward methods. If you choose to donate by check or money order, please make it payable to SWFHR or South West Florida Horse Rescue. On the memo line, write "Donation" or provide any other specific instructions, such as "Donation to 'said Horse'".
For cash donations, we do not recommend sending them by mail. Instead, you can bring them directly to us or send them through a secure channel. Our address for all mailing is:

Donations made through credit or debit cards can be processed in various ways. Our primary processor for these types of donations is usually PayPal. However, we also have accounts with other processing parties such as Stripe, Venmo, and Gpay.

Online donations are usually made through a processor that is connected back to SWFHR. Most of these processors charge a processing fee, which ranges from 2-7% of your donation. However, there are only a few platforms that absorb the processing fees, allowing the charity to receive 100% of your donation. These platforms are PayPal Giving Fund, Facebook (now joined with PayPal Giving Fund), and Givebutter (through Stripe). The donor has the option to absorb the fees when using Givebutter.

Alternatively, you can call (239) 567-4111 to make a credit or debit donation over the phone for a 3% fee. We will require your legal name, address assigned to your card, card number, and CVC code (on the back of your card).

In many cases, you can double, sometimes even triple, your donation with a matching gift from your employer.  Many employers offer philanthropic options to their employees.
