Many think that the State or a slew of grants fund us… the truth is not. We apply for one grant a year, which only covers about 10% of the budget. The rest is raised through fundraising or donations from giving individuals such as yourself.
Donating can come in many forms. Read on to see how many ways there are to donate.

Making a phone-in donation credit is a great way to ensure your donation goes directly to feeding the rescues in our care. Mostly this is done at Feed, Hay, & Veterinarian offices, but phone-in credits don’t end there. Go ahead, surprise us.

Wishlist donations
Our wish lists consist of items that can help improve our operational abilities and achieve better results in terms of quality, safety, and security. We would greatly appreciate it if you could consider donating any of the items on our wish lists. Many of these items can be purchased through Amazon or Chewy at reasonable prices that are comparable to local prices. However, we understand that some items may be too expensive to purchase through online retailers. If an item is listed on our wish list, please consider it as a reference.

The “Chewy Gives Back” program offered through chewy.com kicks back to our rescue when new purchases are made. Chewy’s wish list is like Amazon’s wish lists but, in some cases, a better option for selection and price. Be sure to look at both lists for a better price when donating items.

This year's Christmas wishes
The ‘Christmas Wishes’ project was designed to collect specific item donations for individual rescues. Horses have written letters to Santa listing the items they need, and supporters can help by purchasing as many items from a horse’s wish list as they want. All items purchased will be considered as a donation for the respective horses.

This year's Stocking stuffer
The Stocking Stuffer event was created for small item donations. It is meant to fill stockings with brushes, sprays, gels, combs, medications, and other small items needed for the coming year for rescued equines.

In many cases, you can double, sometimes even triple, your donation with a matching gift from your employer. Many employers offer philanthropic options to their employees.
Your time is one of the most unrecognizable values that can be had. Strength is in numbers, some say. Being a part of our volunteer program at first, you may not see your value. We value every volunteer regardless of expertise or hours you can give out of your life.

Whether it is local or online, Shopping Kickbacks help. Sometimes it doesn’t sound like much but, remember, that kickbacks values increase as the numbers of participants increase.
Collecting recyclable material has always been a steadfast way to earn funds and make an impact on the cleanliness of our local environment. Through our ‘Recycle For Rescues‘ campaign, we make monthly trips to the recycling plant to scrap mainly aluminum cans for much-needed funds.
