This November 18th, we would be honored to have our community join us at the SWFHR Facility for a Fall Festival. We are planning a day for the family that is full of fun activities, meeting and greeting the rescues and staff of the facility, music, demonstrations, raffles, and local vendors.
Entry cover is a $5.00 donation per person (kids 5 and under are Free). Other fees may apply.
Seems like a simple question with a simple answer, like the horses need feed. This time it is stated that we will be hosting this event for building and infrastructure needs. It has always been a juggling act to find the funds to improve or develop the facility. The horses always come first is our motto. Most don’t know the vast cost behind running an organization our size, nor do most know truly how we fund our daily operations. Read more about us, to truly know more about us.
This event is a little different than most of our events. The organization and coordination of the event is done entirely by a volunteer of SWFHR (not only a volunteer but a student of FGCU and someone who works a full-time job as well).
We hope to see our community and their families enjoy this event and leave with a smile on their face, a bit of knowledge behind what we do, and who we are. Maybe even a prize or two from our auctions and raffles.
So bring the family and out for a day in horse country! Proceeds from this event will further the advancement of efforts to improve the quality of environments for local rescued equines.
Meet & Greet the rescued equines at the facility. Meet the horses in their living environments and be given a brief synopsis of their story by SWFHR Event Volunteers. Greet the working staff of SWFHR to put a face to the people behind the scenes at South West Florida Horse Rescue.
